Welcome to the AfMA Safer Motoring Program
The Safer Motoring 'How To Guide’ is an AfMA initiative co-funded by VicRoads and the Western Australia Road Safety Council.
Organisations have a legal responsibility under both common law and OH&S legislation to provide a safe working environment for its workforce and ensure that the public at large is not put at risk from the organisation’s transport activities.
Structured in three parts, our intent is to provide both a systems overview and a procedural based approach, linked to a cross reference matrix. This allows the reader to see not only the procedure for one particular activity, but how the process fits collectively into a holistic management approach.
By completing the Registration Form below, you will be able to download either the complete guide, or each of the three sections seperately. The download of the Safer Motoring 'How To Guide' is free of charge.
However, as the Guide is structured as a systems approach providing a template by which an organisation can identify and address the risks associated with their transport activities, we do caution against taking parts of the guide in isolation.
The Guide is structured as follows:
Part One -
A Systems Approach
Part Two
Part Three -
Expanding the Theory
Section 1:
Overview
The Drivers Handbook
