2008 Awards Nomination Form
AƒMA Annual Awards - Recognising Excellence
When AƒMA devised its Awards program it adopted a number of principles that it wished to use as the foundation stones for the process.
First and foremost is the acceptance that excellence can never be a static concept. While there can always be a definable beginning to an activity there is seldom a definitive end. It follows therefore that the progress the organisation may make in its attempts to achieve best practice is purely a point on a journey in a particular endeavour.
Secondly, submissions were to be judged by a panel of peers. Each Award panel has a different make up of members and industry experts each serving on only one panel. Through this we have ensured the independence and integrity of the Award process.
Thirdly, only initiatives that are in addition to what one could expect as normal professional practice will be accepted for consideration for an Award.
Finally, the Awards are not about winners or losers but about recognising progress made on a continuing journey.
AƒMA's Awards process recognises all submissions as a reflection on an organisation's current milestone. In recognising this, AƒMA requests the judges to bring to AƒMA's attention organisations that have made significant efforts in their endeavours. These organisations will be recognised by the presentation of a "Certificate of Commendation".
